Bones!!!!

Hi there! How are you?

In Natural Science we are learning the bones and muscles. Remember that you don't need to know how to write them but you should know where are they situated in the human body.

Here you have three games to practise. There are some bones that don't appear on our book (clavicle, scapula, patella, ilium, sacrum) but don't worry, as you know there are 206 bones and we can't learn all of them in one year =)

The Universe Project III

Once we know about the planets, the Sun, the Earth and the moon, today we learnt how the Earth moves.

First it moves around herself and that movement lasts 24 hours = 1 day. That causes day and night.

The Earth moves around the Sun as well, and that lasts 354 days = 1 year. The movement of the Earth around the Sun causes the seasons.

We made this craft to understand how these movements work.

Parque de Bomberos

Ayer estuvimos de excursión en el Parque de Bomberos de Aranjuez.

Pasamos una mañana muy divertida y aprendimos un montón de cosas.

Primero nos contaron qué hacen los bomberos exactamente, cómo podemos pedirles ayuda, en qué sitios pueden trabajar y cómo es el traje que llevan.

Después nos enseñaron todas las instalaciones del Parque: los garajes, la cocina, la sala de estar, la sala de control desde donde dan la alarma y el gimnasio. Además pudimos probar su rockodromo y la cuerda que usan para escalar y ponerse en forma. 

Más tarde nos enseñaron su camión por dentro, está totalmente lleno de herramientas y utensilios que ellos usan para apagar el fuego o ayudar en casos de emergencia.

¡Hasta nos dejaron probarnos su casco!

Y por si fuera poco nos montaron en el camión y dimos una vuelta con la sirena puesta, ¡fue genial!

Antes de volver al colegio pudimos probar la potencia de su manguera,¡¡¡ porque nos mojaron a todos por sorpresa!!!!
